Chris Brown is under court orders not to go within 50 yards of Rihanna, but both he and his ex want to get rid of the strict no-contact clause.

“They think it’s unnecessary and ridiculous,” says a mutual pal of the protection order handed down at Tuesday’s criminal proceeding, during which Brown pled guilty to one count of felony assault in the February attack that left Rihanna battered and bruised.

“After [the proceeding], Ri and Chris talked on the phone for almost an hour and really worked at becoming friends. They’re solid now.” Solid, but still unable to speak to one another in public. At the very least, they’ll be able to get a little closer to one another at this Sunday’s BET Awards in L.A., which both stars are set to attend.

Rihanna’s nude photos may have cost her a big job! Earlier this month, racy pictures of what appeared to be Rihanna and Chris Brown in a hotel room surfaced online.

The pics caught a lot of people’s eyes, including Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour.

Prior to the photo leak, Rihanna and Anna had spoken at the Met Costume Institute Gala, and Anna offered her a chance to appear on the cover of her magazine, plus an inside spread.

A source tells Star, “Anna told her Vogue absolutely loves her and really wanted to work with her. Rihanna was ecstatic.”

Rihanna reportedly locked lips with Canadian former child actor-turned-rapper Aubrey “Drake” Graham at NYC’s Lucky Strike Lanes & Lounge on West 42nd Street on Tuesday (May 19).

“She was drinking whiskey and apple juice and making out with him all night,” a spy tells Page Six. “They were really cute together.”

Rihanna, who also had spent time in town with Katy Perry, later ended her night together with Drake around midnight.

RiRi is said to be so embarrassed because of the leak of the photos she’s fled Hollywood and taken refuge in Hawaii. It’s rumored that also Jay-Z and Kanye West are there too.

One of Rihanna’s pals said:

“She is freaking out. She was on the road to recovery after a terrible few months. She has no idea how these pictures have been leaked but she’s determined to find out.” Rihanna is recording a new album in Hawaii. Her pal added: “She’s rushed off to Hawaii to escape the scrutiny. TMZ has learned the legal department at Island Def Jam Music Group, RiRi’s label, sent a letter to at least one website that published the photos. The letter refers to “unauthorized photos purported to be…Rihanna,” demands that the photos be removed from the site, and calls the photos a violation of “the Artist’s rights.”
