She wants the gown not for a one-off red carpet appearance, but to wear on stage during her coming London and Paris concerts.

Guyanese soul singer Nhojj heads to the 4th Annual Barbados Music Awards on January 4, 2009 to perform his sensual ballad “Love.” The ceremony will be held at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre in Barbados, and will be viewed globally via live web broadcast.

Nhojj will share the spotlight with Square One (Lifetime Achievement Award recipient), Regina Belle (International Lifetime Achievement Award recipient), and 111 nominees including Rihanna, T.I, and Krosfyah. The BMA’s honor the best in Caribbean and International Music, and attract recording industry leaders as well as visitors from around the world.

BMA producer Ronnie Morris invited Nhojj after hearing him sing “Love” at Guyana Fashion Weekend ‘08 – a performance that brought explosive applause from the closing night’s audience. Attendees included the American Ambassador, GFW president Sonia Noel, BET host Abiola Abrams, and “Amen” sitcom actress Anna Maria Horsford. The photographer at the center of the $1 million lawsuit against Chris Brown and Rihanna has come forward with his account of what has been called a ‘million dollar beatdown.’

“They chased me away from the limo. They grabbed me and threw me down, wrestled the camera away from me. I grabbed the phone to call the police and tried to get the license number for the limo,” Luis Santana told St. Petersburg/Tampa Bay radio station WILD 98.7.

Known for taking photos at WildSplash and Last Damn Show, events sponsored by the station, Santana is reportedly a well known and respected photographer in the area.

A photographer won’t stop the music until Rihanna and Chris Brown have forked over $1 million.

Luis Santana, a shutterbug for Florida’s St. Petersburg Times, is suing the R&B crooners, claiming their bodyguards beat him and confiscated his camera after he caught them leaving the Vintage Ultra Lounge together in early May.

Santana tells E! News he was invited to the nightclub to take pictures of the twosome celebrating Brown’s 19th birthday. He said Brown’s bodyguards told him he could not photograph the couple inside the club, but he could shoot them in the parking lot. Read the rest of this entry →
