Rihanna will kick off an international campaign to bolster the chart fortunes of her latest record Rated R with a whirlwind chatfest in Australia this month.

The Barbados-born beauty will see little but the inside of hotel rooms after arriving in Sydney for three days of promotion from Valentine’s Day.

In just three months, both Rated R and its first single Russian Roulette have been certified gold in Australia, selling more than 35,000 copies.

Rihanna has also become highly sought after by her peers for collaborations and collected a Grammy with mentor Jay-Z and Kanye West for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for the song Run This Town.

She also combined with Jay-Z and Bono on the new track Stranded which they performed during the Hope For Haiti fundraiser recently.

Rihanna last visited Sydney in November 2008 when she toured with Chris Brown. As thousands of fans remember, Rihanna got ill while performing and ran backstage. The cause was the tight corset she was wearing, and no food before the show.
