Rihanna’s Performance @ Pepsi Smash Super Bowl· 11 Comments · News · |
Rihanna dominated the stage at the Ford Amphitheater in Tampa Bay, FL yesterday during the NFL Pepsi Smash Super Bowl Concert. She performed several of her singles and a mix of M.I.A’s “Paper Planes” with “Live Your Life.” Check out the videos below.

Im a Rihanna fan, but she needs to go to performance bootcamp before her next album drops. As far as the singing, she is fine as long as she is not singing in her falsetto. I think her main issue is breathing. She doesnt get enough oxygen. When she was performing Rehab she was standing still and she sounded good.

i’m a fan of rihanna, but she didn’t sound too good lol.
when she’s singing fast paced songs, she doesn’t know how to breathe properly and she starts letting go all this air on the microphone. She did pretty awful singing “Disturbia”!, My mom came in the room and said: “what is that noise?!” 0_0
and i agree that her dance moves were pretty corny. Rihanna is not much of a “dancer” anyway. People like Beyonce, can do a well choreographed dance routine….but not Rihanna.
and yes, Rihanna sounded really nice singing “Rehab”. When she’s not moving around all over the place, she has more control over her voice and can really belt out a note.
I guess she just needs more lessons and practice and in time she will probably get better……i hope =/
Also, it seemed like the Super Bowl Bash was HER own little concert?! It was basically a Rihanna concert. I hardly saw Fall Out Boy and anyone else
I agree she could’ve done better but that how she do she does not need to dance like B or anyone else she stands out from the reg. crowd thts what i like about her the most she unique and has her own little thing going on!!!!!
I love Ri to death BUT Disturbia and shut up and drive was DREADFUL! OMG my ears. I don’t even know what to say. Someone mentioned performance bootcamp for her.
I’m just like well she’s been touring non stop for 4 years. I mean it’s time for Rihanna to step her game up. She’s been out since ‘05 and every year we were like she’s young she’s gonna improve!
Ok she started off @ 17 she’s damn near 21 now that excuse is done now. She’s had ample training, singing lessons. Touring is bootcamp for her. And its always a 50/50 draw for her.
She’s either good or horrible, never great. I think she did good on the GGGB DVD but that was a travesty @ the Superbowl thing!
Like i said before Disturbia was just disturbing…sorry ,girl cant come close to Beyonces pipes. You see B singing single ladies live and she has more dance moves then rihanna but her voice is just freakin awesome.As far as Ri im sorry girl but it was like singing “hero” all over again…:-(
