Pop star Rihanna has topped the U.K. singles chart rundown for 2008, selling almost 1.3 million copies.
The sexy singer released hit tracks Take a Bow, Disturbia and Rehab in the country last year (08), and continued download sales of 2007 smash Umbrella ensured she snared the top spot of overall single sales in 2008, with 1,294,093 units shifted.
She beat out competition from Welsh soul star Duffy, who sold just over a million copies, and Leona Lewis who achieved sales of 992,644.

And it was British boyband Take That who took the crown in the album rundown of the year, selling 2,051,825 LPs.
Duffy – real name Aimee Ann Duffy – once again came second in the rundown, shifting 1,684,944 copies of her debut album Rockferry, closely followed by rockers Kings Of Leon in third place with sales of 1,620,215.
