“It was a budget cut, I believe. [Def Jam] probably got rid of projects like mine to spend the money on [Rihanna].”

i think the reason why rihanna is selling more is because of her “image” more than anything.
i mean, just think about it. no one really knew about her until that song “Umbrella” came out and she was all “vamped” up and looking like a seductress in all her videos.
and on top of that, rihanna doesn’t even write her own music. people like ne-yo, chris brown, justin timberlake etc. gotta write songs for her.
christina milian on the other hand, did write some of her own songs and she can REALLY sing!
i hope christina gets on top of things again. and if there’s a song a producer, writer, manager wants her to do, she shouldn’t say “NO!” because that’s exactly what happened when they wanted her to sing “Umbrella” and she told them that

Candice I agree with you. Christina can sing. Rihanna sells coley because of her image and not because often innate talent. She doesn’t know how to entertain. People go to her concerts because she appears to them as some rare Caribbean commodity and is a novelty. As soon as they get accustomed to this image, the reality will sink in. So, she makes millions and that means she’s happy? If she were truly happy, then she would not have to get all those tattoos to make herself feel cool and loved. She won’t have to change up her image so often, she would be happy with herself and who shei is, large head or not. Christina is not a people pleaser, Rihanna is; she will do anything to make the bucks. Her tunes are catchy but the lyrics are preschoolish. she attracts teeny boppers, wanna bees and people seacrhing for an identity. Rihanna hasn’t found herself yet.

well for one she is pretty she looks good i like her music i didn’t say love i said like i have to say that she have no presence her proformance is just so flat if she could just vamp it up more give that extra i think she will be fine and everyone look like each other the long weave her stlye makes her stands out and i think that a good thing
Listen haters rihanna has a unique voice thats what sets her aside from the usual crowd. Rihanna is the best otherwise those hating right now would even be on this site. She is better then all the female singers for sure. I’m happy they dropped christina they found someone a million times better then her and she goes by the name of RIHANNA!!!
