Teairra Marí recently spoke to KING magazine about former label-mate Rihanna’s comments about her last year. Check out an excerpt from Marí’s feature below:

Teairra took offense to some comments Rihanna made to Atlanta’s Peach magazine regarding her dismissal from the Roc. Rihanna said, “You have to be good to people. I could very easily say its all karma…”

“They asked her how she felt playing second fiddle to me, which I never felt [she was]. She had the number-one song in the country on Hot 100; I didn’t, so she couldn’t be playing second fiddle to me. When I heard that I was upset, like, ‘Why would she ever go there? Keep my name out your mouth, sweetie.”

Nothing wrong with a bit of healthy competition! I hope they do a Brandy/Monica and come up with a hot duet similar to The Boy Is Mine and keep everyone talking bout them. Love both Teairra and Rihanna and there is most def room for both!

theres is no competition between them two. teariir or however they spell her name is a one-hit wonder. she just madd dhat rihanna careeer went up. while hers was hit rock bottom. i havent heard from her until now…wow. she needs to wrry about her career and stop mindinq rihannna. not beinq mean but being real serious = \ =)

Teairra, Rihanna and Amerie were just “found” and they sang “Lose my breath” together! Amerie’s carreer was going gr8, than Rihanna’s carreer started and now she’s at the top but Teairra was never on their level, well not on Ri’s level.. So she’s just jelaous and she need’s to start a fight so she can get back and be recognized for something, let her have her 15 days of fame, if it gets serious then we’ll kill her! OK? Cool..

I don’t understand what Rihanna meant by “It’s all Karma.” I agree with Teairra, Ri should not have felt second fiddle. Rihanna did well for herself with “Pon de replay” so i don’t understand that either. Unless something major went down, which i didn’t hear anything about when Marie left, then Rihanna should have kept her mouth shut. Everyone is going to shine at different times & maybe back then it wasn’t mari’s time. Maybe she will get her chance soon.

I agree with ri ri fan. She is probably doing this just for a little publicity which probably won’t even happen. She should be getting some good material for an album instead of saying things that Rihanna probably won’t even care about.

Rihanna should not talk so much about what happened to T Marie because it could happen to her too. T Marie has a good voice she just wasn’t as ucky as Rihanna for some reason– not sure why so was Fefe Dobson.. those music moguls tend to pick on those who are shape shifters/ most malleable.If you all get what I am saying.

Wow, if you actaully go back and read the article when rihanna said that qoute, she wasn’t talking of Teairra,she was actally talking of herself.In the article she doeasn’t even mention Teairra’s name,the interviewer mentioned Teairra’s name though she was not talking of her,only to make it seem like she was.

When rihanna was talking of ”karma’’she was talking about her(rihanna”S) career.Go back and read the article and you’ll see what I mean.

Teairra should be more concerned about making a multi platinum album and selling records instead of Rihanna.

I’m sorry but I just want this to be clear, Teairra never said this about Rihanna. She said that she was just surprised that Rihanna would say something like that because their encounters were always positive and that she’s really happy for Rihanna’s success. She even says Rihanna deserves every bit of success, both her and Neyo because she says they all worked hard since all 3 of them did come out the same time. I think it’s rude how y’all are just dissing, dissing, dissing on other people. You Rihanna fans are just like Beyonce’ fans. Rihanna is cute and all but she isn’t the greatest and if she wasn’t as pretty and if she didn’t have that whole accent, island girl thing going she wont be as big as now. YOU HAVE TO ADMIT THAT. Most of what makes Rihanna so special is that she’s:
1.Attractive, people obviously like attractive people.
2.She’s marketable
3.The whole fake rumor thing Rihanna’s old publicist started to get people to start a buzz on Riri’s name until BAM she’s all “edgy” swaggajacking Fefe Dobson. I don’t care about her stealing someone else’s style though since that seems to be in nowadays with alotta music artists.
4.THE ACCENT which makes her voice, NOT THE BEST but DISTINCT. You always know it’s her singing because of the tone she has because of her accent. It’s not that she has the best voice because she doesn’t. I’ve seen her live and it did not sound as good as the recorded version but who cares? SHE’S GORGEOUS SO IT’S OKAY! *no sarcasm intended, im completely serious about that* Honestly, her voice is kind of annoying in certain pitches but it’s just likable because of how unique she sounds so anyway basically what I’m saying is, STOP HATING ON OTHER PEOPLE WHEN THEY DIDN’T EVEN SAY ALL THAT ABOUT RIHANNA AND RIHANNA NEVER SAID THAT IN THE ARTICLE ANYWAY and just wish for the best for people like Teairra who were did dirty by the music industry because she was, what they did was just plain wrong. Teairra has a real nice voice, only problem is they didn’t market her right and they didn’t try to make her voice more distinctive. Just spread love people not hate!
