Rihanna’s Gucci love

The fashion industry had only kind words of praise for Rihanna at a private dinner honouring the pop diva and Gucci’s autumn Hysteria bag collection.

Hosted by Gucci and Elle, starlets like Ugly Betty’s Becki Newton (who plays receptionist Amanda), Radha Mitchell, Camilla Belle and Zach Braff sipped cocktails as they eagerly awaited the stylish songbird’s arrival.

“Oh, I heart Rihanna!” gushed One Tree Hill’s Sophia Bush to Fashion Week Daily. “I met her in New York during Fashion Week and I think for someone to be so on top of the world as she is, and yet for her to still be so genuinely sweet and kind, is inspirational in this industry.

“Whenever I can’t get up in the morning, I play Please Don’t Stop The Music and that gets me going. That’s my jam!”

The pop diva herself was full of compliments for the Italian designer brand.

“I love everything Gucci. It’s like working with family,” she said, recalling that her first Gucci purchase was a pair of python heels with the company’s iconic bamboo bit.

“I am very fond of literally everything they do!”
